Just remember,
to continue to read.
That will help,
your brain cells feed.

During the summer,
you'll get to relax.
Play outside,
and eat healthy snacks.

Remember to show,
your parents your grades.
Just be honest,
don't hide behind shades.

Your school year,
has reached its end.
Enjoy your summer,
I recommend.

School
School is something,
we must all embrace.
Knowledge we need,
to seek out and chase.

Subjects and teaching styles,
are plentiful and vary.
Just like the backpacks,
we all need to carry.

Sports, clubs, and activities,
at every single turn.
So much to do,
study and learn.

To get the most from school,
we should consistently attend.
Around each corner,
there's always a friend.

Our favorite teachers,
are friendly and kind.
Their passion and job,
to expand every mind.

School is something,
we must all embrace.
Just remember to learn,
at your own pace.

We dont always like the same things take ice cream
We like different flavors
And we dont always see things the same once you
called me a name and I returned the favor

But you are my Best friend forever we wont ever
let that end no never
You are here for me and I am here for you
Thats what best friends do

We dont always see eye to eye dont ask me why
But we dont mind it
And we dont always get along but our friendships
strong
We can always find it

We dont always fit in with the crowd but we still
stand proud and we stand together
And we dont care what other people say we go our own
true way that works a whole lot better

You are my best friend forever we wont ever let that
end no never
You are here for me and I am here for you thats what
best friends do
Thats what best friends do
Thats what best friends do

You don’t got a friend     Better than me
How can I begin        To get you to see
Just how much      You mean to me
I’ll say it again    You don’t got a friend     better than me

If you’re feeling alone       If you’re feeling down
Just pick up your phone       And I’ll come round
As fast as I can    That’s my guarantee
I’ll say it again  you don’t got a friend    Better than me

I’ve seen you when you’re winning and I’ve seen you when you lose
When you can’t stop grinning and when you’ve got the blues
No point in pretending there will only be good news
But I’m all in     through thick and then
It wasn’t hard to choose
If you’re feeling sad    And you just need to cry
If you’re feeling mad   And need to shout at the sky
If you just need some space     A little time to be
I’ll say it again  you don’t got a friend better than me.

ESPERO Y ESTUDIEN CHICOS. RECUERDEN QUE ESTAN EN JUEGO SUS PUNTOS DE LA PRODUCCION ORAL.

The Chickens Take a Holiday

The sun was about to rise on Farmer Tim's farm. Chester Chicken woke up the cows with his important news.

"The chickens are taking a holiday today," Chester Chicken said.

"Is that so?" said Daisy the cow. "What is the special occasion?"

"We worked too hard this week," Chester said.

"You did?" asked Daisy.

"Yes! We laid ten eggs this week," Chester said, "and there are only five of us."

Daisy smiled and nodded her head. Ten was a lot of eggs for five chickens.

"Enjoy your day off," she said.

"But what about us?" the other cows said to Daisy. "We gave Farmer Tim 100 pails of milk this week. There are only ten of us!"

Daisy agreed with the cows too. 100 pails of milk would make a lot of cheese.

"But we can't take a holiday on the same day as the chickens," Daisy said. "What would Farmer Tim say?"

Daisy and the cows moved over to a patch of grass to have their breakfast.

"The chickens are taking a holiday," Daisy told the trees. "And we don't think it's fair."

The trees were not happy with this news.

"I've dropped over 1,000 apples this season," one said.

"And I've had a million cherries picked!" said another.

The wind blew and the trees put on their angry faces.

"We deserve a holiday more than the chickens!" the trees shouted together. "We worked too hard all season."

This woke up the rake that was sitting on the grass underneath the trees.

"Have you heard the news?" the apple tree asked the rake. "The chickens are taking a holiday. They think they worked too hard this week."

The rake stood up and announced its disapproval. "I raked over one million leaves this year. And there's only one of me! If anyone deserves a holiday it is a poor tired rake."

Just then Rowdy Rooster hopped on the fence. He looked up into the sky and began to crow. It was time for the farmer to wake up.

The chickens and cows and trees waited for Farmer Tim to come out and pick up the rake.

But a minute passed and Farmer Tim did not appear.

Rowdy called two more times.

"Call him again," the chickens yelled to the rooster. "He must be having a dream."

Rowdy made one last call and this time Farmer Tim woke up. But he didn't come out and pick up the rake, or milk the cows, or check on the eggs underneath the chickens. Instead he opened the window and shouted loud enough for everyone to hear:

"I worked too hard this week, I say. It's time I took a holiday!"

 Verbo to like

1. El verbo to like
Ante todo, el verbo to like funciona como cualquier otro verbo, es decir, en inglés decimos "yo gusto ..." en lugar de "a mí me gusta ..."
Observa estas frases:
Do you like sandwiches? Yes, I do
Do you like tea? No, I don't (I do not)

"¿Te gustan los sandwiches?" que sería "Do you like the sandwiches?"
Las respuestas a estas preguntas ya las conoces: Yes, I do o No, I do not.
Verbo to like

PRONUON + LIKE TO + INFINITIVE VERB

I like to play soccer
Me gusta jugar soccer

You like to visit your grandma
A ti te gusta visitar a tu abuelita

He likes to play videogames
A él le gusta jugar videojuegos

She likes to eat pizza
A ella le gusta comer pizza

We like to speak in english
A nosotros nos gusta hablar en inglés

They like to go to the movies

PRONOUN + LIKE + VERB + -ING

She likes going to the cinema
Ella lo pasa bien yendo al cine
A ella le gusta ir al cine
 We like playing football
Nosotros lo pasamos bien jugando al fútbol
A nosotros nos gusta jugar al fútbol
 Do they like watching TV?
¿Ellos lo pasan bien viendo la TV?
 ¿Les gusta ver la TV?
I don't (I do not) like going to the dentist
He doesn't (He does not) like writing letters
A él no le gusta escribir cartas
We don't (We do not) like waiting
 No nos gusta esperar
They don't (They do not) like speaking French
 No les gusta hablar francés

The Jump

The pilot turned round. 'Are you ready?' he said. Rod nodded. 'Yes,' he shouted. He took off his flying helmet. The little two-seater biplane was flying low over the railway line. Rod climbed out of the seat and stood up. The wind caught him and nearly knocked him off the plane. He held the wing above his head and slowly and carefully climbed onto the bottom wing and then climbed down the ladder. The plane moved suddenly to the right. Rod felt sick. He looked down. The ground seemed very close. The plane went slower and slower. Then Rod could see the train. It was moving very quickly just below him. He looked at the pilot. 'OK,' he shouted. The plane flew lower and lower. Now it was moving at the same speed as the train, only two metres below the plane's wheel.
'Now,' shouted the pilot. Rod breathed deeply and jumped. His feet touched the roof of the train and Rod threw his body forward. He held on tightly to the roof. There wasn't much time. He could see the bridge in front of him. Rod stood up. There was a pain in his left leg. The ground was rushing by below him. The bridge was near, very near. The engine went under the bridge, then the first carriage, then the second carriage.
Rod jumped up and forward. He hit the bridge and held on tightly. The train was still moving below him. One slip and he was dead. He pulled himself up and onto the bridge. His hand was bleeding. He jumped down onto the road and ran. He counted… one, two, three, four, five, then he threw himself on the ground. There was an explosion. Rod felt stones and dirt falling on him. Then he got up and ran towards the car.
He stopped at the car. Phil Steinway was standing beside the car.
'Rod! That was fantastic. Absolutely amazing. It's the best thing in the film.'
'Thanks,' said Rod. His leg was hurting badly now.
'Are you all right?' asked Steinway.
'Yes,' said Rod.
'Good,' said Steinway, 'because there was one problem.'
'What was that?' asked Rod.
'Well, there wasn't any film in the camera. Can you go back and do it all again?'

Object Pronouns

Uso. Estructura. Aspectos a Recordar.

Me gusta Susan.              Me gusta ella.

I call her every day.

Lo compro en Las Palmas.
I buy it in Las Palmas.

This letter is for them.

No puedo hablar con él.
I can’t speak to him.

Maria buys that magazine.

(Yo) la compro para ella.
I buy it for her.
